I wanted to adjust the ride heights but the spring seats and lock rings on the Tein coilovers were not in the best condition. So i thought I’d machine some replacements that should last a lot longer than the original Tein parts.
one underway…
all 4 for the front done except for the slots for the Tein C spanner to fit.
gave everything a good clean and inspection while the shocks were apart. a pic of one of the struts. great condition which is nice to see, also checked the damping adjustment is working properly.
all back together
also flushed out the spherical joints. again, in great condition with no play so no need to replace them
back on the car
on to the rears.
couple for the rear done
once again, cleaned and inspected while apart. no play in anything and damper adjustment working fine.
back together
after getting them all back on the car I went round to get the ride heights all as I wanted. all round wheel alignment still to come…
