MX5 – ECU Master DET3

(First posted on MX5 nutz forum in April 2016) With boost peaking at around 10psi my hope that 1.8 injectors and nearly 6bar fuel pressure with the standard ECU would provide enough fuel didn’t work out.  It was close to being ok as it drove fairly well but at WOT/full boost it would really lean […]

Evo VI – More Cavity Wax

I did a load of cavity waxing before but it was a bit awkward with the car on axle stands. Now I have much better access underneath I thought I’d go finding all the holes I could to fill with Noxudol 700 cavity wax. This is a messy job so I only took a few […]

MX5 – Eaton M45 Supercharger Oil Change

(First posted on MX5 nutz forum in April 2016) As the charger is off the car I took the opportunity to change it’s oil.  The kit was bought from eBay.   The Allen key required is an imperial size, 3/16″.  If you are planning on doing this make sure you have this exact size. A metric […]

MX5 – Boost Leak Check and Back to NA

(First posted on MX5 nutz forum in April 2016) Went a bit quiet lately as I spent some time figuring out the best way to proceed with this. Budget is still the most important thing as this whole car is supposed to be cheap so I can’t just throw cash at it.  My original plan […]

The Garage is Finished

…..well sort of. There are a few more things I’d like to do but as it is I’m finally using the garage properly to get some car stuff done! A few pictures of how it looks now. So glad it’s finally ready to use.
