Jem and I wanted to do a trip around Cornwall and thought the Mazda would be perfect for that so we booked a trip staying in various different places for a few nights at the beginning of October. Unfortunately we had to postpone the trip and ended up doing it in December. Maybe not the best time of year but it turned out really good as everywhere we visited was deserted so we didn’t have to suffer other people everywhere. We don’t like other people!
The roads were mostly pretty quiet too which made the driving so much more fun.
Some of the pics of the trip…
lay-by lunch stop on the drive down
Stonehenge on the horizon
At The Lost Gardens of Heligan
You get a sticker
Melon yard. Not as fun as it sounds
My navigator choosing the best roads for some fun on the way to our next stop
Short ferry crossing to Trelissick
Lizard Point, the most southerly point of mainland UK. Having been to Dunnet Head (the most Northerly point) in the Evo about 18 months before we had to stop here on this trip.
Lands End. Late in the day so we had the place to ourselves.
A random stop for some pics
Gotta find a beach, even in December
Waiting for fish and chips to turn up
Bit wet out
Tea and cake. Winner.
Back to the car
Few games of pool.

Clovelly. All the cats around here are very friendly.
A random stop. It was proper windy up here!
A little bit dirty
We finished up doing 900 miles in 5 days and the Mazda got some abuse but it was totally faultless the whole time. Such a great little car.
