Supercharged MX5 – For Sale – Sold

It’s time to sell the MX5. We bought it on a bit of a whim nearly 3 years ago and it’s been great, never let us down even though it’s 26 years old and I’ve nearly doubled it’s power with the supercharger. We will genuinely be a bit sad to see it go but I want to get my Mini back on the road so I need the space and time.

I have a big pile of receipts documenting the cars history during my ownership and before.

The main reason I bought this car was how tidy it was underneath and it is still very good with no rust on the arches. The spot welds are still visible in the rear arches and the sills are solid (see pictures below). I looked at a few MX5’s at the time and some were in a terrible state underneath.
The electric windows actually work and at a proper speed, unlike many out there.
The supercharger was fitted prior to the last MOT which it passed fine with no emissions problems, being a 1991 car it does not require a CAT to be fitted for MOT.
I should also point out that all the boring but important things like cold start, hot start, sitting in stop start traffic are not a problem. I daily drove the car over the summer for about 5-6 months and it was totally reliable.
