Got some of the gold heat tape stuff. I also lowered the exhaust heat shield I’d made ages ago so it can stay fitted with the charger on.  I will probably add to the heat shielding or rethink it entirely if I need to but this is a start.

Upgrade to some BKR7E plugs is a must.

An old boost gauge I took out of the Evo ages ago cos it rattles and drove me mad. It will do for this though. And a thingy I made for listening for knock.  Found someone else who’d made one on a honda forum here: http://www.d-series….25-dollars.html

Basically just a £5 hearing aid type thing with the microphone removed and rewired onto a few meters of cable so you can clip it to the engine block.  The one I bought:

The final important part was a co-pilot to be on gauge/disaster watch!  This took the form of a James aka ‘Townie’…..
